Tanaka sees Armitage report as core of U.S. security policy
TOKYO, Japan - Foreign Minister Makiko Tanaka listens to an opposition questioner at a session of the House of Representatives Security Committee on June 14. Tanaka said she sees the (Richard) Armitage report, which calls for Japan to lift its constitutional ban against the use of the right to collective self-defense, as the core of current U.S. security policy.
