Japanese head of World Gold Council receives OBE
LONDON, Britain - Haruko Fukuda (in file photo), chief executive officer of the World Gold Council, was honored with the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the queen's honors list released June 16. Fukuda, 54, an economist and author who served as chairman of the Japan Society in London between 1995-2000, was cited for her ''services to U.K.-Japan relations.''
