Ohashi set to run in upper house election on DPJ ticket
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese television personality Kyosen Ohashi (file photo) is set to run in July's House of Councillors election as a candidate of the main opposition Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), DPJ sources said June 22. Ohashi, 67, is expected to announce his plan after holding talks with Naoto Kan, DPJ secretary general, beginning June 25 in Los Angeles, the sources said.
