U.N. Security Council okays 2nd term for Annan
NEW YORK, United States - Anwarul Chowdhury, president of the U.N. Security Council, tells reporters at the U.N. headquarters in New York on June 27 that the UNSC unanimously approved U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan's nomination for a second five-year term. The Security Council decision is expected to be endorsed by the General Assembly at a meeting June 28.
