Maruyama becomes 2nd Japanese to win U.S. PGA Tour event
NEW YORK, United States - Shigeki Maruyama (file photo) became the second Japanese golfer to win a U.S. PGA Tour event July 15 with a playoff victory at the Greater Milwaukee Open in Wisconsin. Maruyama birdied the first extra hole to beat Charles Howell III. He shares the distinction with Isao Aoki, winner of the 1983 Hawaiian Open.
