Japanese saury fishing boats leave for disputed waters

NEMURO, Japan - Japanese saury fishing boats leaves Hanasaki port in Nemuro, Hokkaido on Aug. 4 for waters around Russian-held islands claimed by Japan after complications regarding Russian fishing inspectors were resolved on Aug. 3. The boats were due to begin fishing on Aug. 1, but the operation was delayed until Russian authorities gave the green light on Aug. 3.
