Murofushi returns from world championships

NARITA, Japan - Japan's Koji Murofushi who won the silver medal in the men's hammer throw final at the athletics world championships at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Canada shows his medal at a news conference on returning to Narita airport, east of Tokyo, on Aug. 8. National record holder Murofushi launched a fifth effort of 82.92 meters Aug. 5 to give Japan its first-ever hammer medal at either the Olympics and the world championships.
