Japanese ship carrying submersible vehicle arrives in Hawaii
HONOLULU, United States - The Kairei, a 4,628-ton deep-sea research ship commissioned by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, is berthed at Honolulu port Aug. 11. The ship carrying an unmanned underwater search vehicle is to support the salvage of the Ehime Maru, a Japanese fisheries training ship that sank off Hawaii on Feb. 9.
