Japan's emergency rescue team on standby for dispatch to U.S.
TOKYO, Japan - Members of Japan's international emergency rescue team wait on standby at Tokyo's Haneda airport Sept. 12 for a possible dispatch to the United States following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on U.S. political and financial centers. The 78-member team can leave Japan within two hours of a request by the U.S.
