Nikkei tumbles below 10,000 after terrorist attacks
TOKYO, Japan - A stock market screen in Tokyo's Yurakucho district shows the benchmark Nikkei Stock Average tumbling below 10,000 for the first time in 17 years on the morning of Sept. 12 as chaos swept world financial markets following terrorist attacks in the United States the previous day.
