Nintendo puts GameCube on Japanese market
TOKYO, Japan - People rush to an electric appliance store in Tokyo's Higashi-Ikebukuro district on Sept. 14 to buy Nintendo Co.'s GameCube video game console. Nintendo put GameCube, priced at 25,000 yen, on the market the same day to compete with Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.'s PlayStation2.
