Ichiro marks 241st hit in Seattle's win

SEATTLE, United States - Ichiro Suzuki hits an infield single -- his 241st hit of the season -- in the third inning of the Seattle Mariners' 6-2 victory over the Texas Rangers at Safeco Field on Oct. 5. Suzuki eclipsed the previous mark of 240 set last year by Darin Erstad of the Anaheim Angels to move into first place on the single-season hit list of active players in the major leagues.
