Doctor sees food aid key to eradicating terrorism
TOKYO, Japan - Tetsu Nakamura, a Japanese doctor who worked in the border area of Afghanistan and Pakistan for the past 17 years, speaks at the Japan National Press Club in Tokyo on Oct. 9. He urged Japan to provide as much food aid as possible to sow friendship that could help eradicate terrorism. ''The more pressing matter is preventing people from dying of hunger, rather than dealing with the consequences of air strikes,'' Nakamura said.
