Asian cities forum opens in Tokyo

TOKYO, Japan - Tokyo Gevernor Shintaro Ishihara addressed a two-day forum to discuss common problems facing 12 big cities in Asia that got underway at the metropolitan government building in Tokyo on Oct. 17. Represented at the Asian Network of Major Cities 21 forum are Beijing, Delhi, Hanoi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Seoul, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo and Yangon. Bangkok is not taking part this time.
