Singer Matsuyama named 'beef ambassador'
SAPPORO, Japan - Singer Chiharu Matsuyama (R) is presented with a box of beef by Hokkaido Gov. Tatsuya Hori on Oct. 31 after being appointed as Hokkaido's ''beef ambassador'' to promote beef and other farm produce in the wake of the mad cow disease scare. Matsuyama is a native of Ashoro in eastern Hokkaido.
