Japanese, Chinese researchers discover world's oldest bricks

OSAKA, Japan - Photo shows baked bricks, believed to be the world's oldest dating back some 6,400 years. A joint team of Japanese and Chinese researchers, including members of the Kyoto-based International Research Center for Japanese Studies, discovered the bricks at the Jotozan ruins in the Yangtze River area in China's Hunan Province, team members said Nov. 2.
