Japan to dispatch 3 MSDF vessels to Indian Ocean
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi (C), who chairs Japan's top national security council, is to hold a council meeting at the premier's official residence on Nov. 8. The Security Council of Japan decided to dispatch three Maritime Self-Defense Force vessels to the Indian Ocean to collect information before Japan's lending of noncombat support to the U.S.-led military operations.
