Success of cloning 2 cows may help clone extinct mammoth
YAMAGUCHI, Japan - Photo taken in China's Shandong province on Nov. 10, 2001 shows two cows cloned from skin cells from a dead cow embryo kept frozen at roughly the temperature of the Siberian permafrost. A group of Japanese and Chinese researchers which has cloned them believes the fete will accelerate their efforts to clone the now extinct woolly mammoth.
