Actress questioned over traffic accident in Shibuya

TOKYO, Japan - Actress Mirai Yamamoto (file photo) is being questioned by police Nov. 30. about her role in a traffic accident on Nov. 28 in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward, in which Robin Eric, a 34-year-old company employee from Britain, was seriously injured, according to police. Mirai Yamamoto, 27, daughter of renowned fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto, is suspected of failing to notice Eric's oncoming motorcycle when making a turn in her vehicle at a road in Yoyogi Kamizono.

Uehara walked away unscathed, after a motorbike hit the side of his car. The owner of the bike, a 28-year-old male from Yokohama, suffered a broken leg and wrist. Police were questioning Uehara about the possibility that the second-year pitcher acted without due care and attention when he attempted a U-turn on a major road.
