Kabul taxi drivers favor used Japanese cars
KABUL, Afghanistan - Used Japanese cars, mostly former Japanese company vehicles, get a second lease on life as taxis on the dusty streets in Kabul. Many taxi operators choose to keep the company logos and phone numbers written in Japanese on the car as shown in this photo as ''proof that it is made in Japan,'' Asef, a Kabul car dealer, told Kyodo News last week in reference to the believed reliability of Japanese cars.
