Former Japan manager Ooft named as new Urawa boss
SAITAMA, Japan - Former Japan national team manager Hans Ooft (file photo) will become the manager of Urawa Reds in the 2002 season, officials of the J-League first-division side said Dec. 11. The Dutchman, who signed a one-year contract from February 2002, will take over from Brazilian Pita who will step down at the end of the season-ending Emperor's Cup.
