'Lights of Peace' turned on in Okinawa's Itoman

ITOMAN, Japan - Electric bulbs decorating trees, streets and bridges in Itoman, Okinawa Prefecture, are turned on Dec. 20 to make the city's annual ''Lights of Peace.'' Organizers said about 1.3 million bulbs, the same as the prefecture's population, were used for the illuminations.
