Olympic torch pauses in New York en route to Salt Lake City
NEW YORK, United States - New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani (L, front) is surrounded by former Olympic athletes in front of the Rockefeller Center in New York on Dec. 23 while he holds the Olympic torch after it arrived in the city the same day. Giuliani, who was the last flame bearer in the torch relay through the city, lit a special cauldron where the Olympic flame will be kept burning until Dec. 26, when the torch relay starts again.
