Gov't, Okinawa agree on bill for new development law
TOKYO, Japan - Okinawa Gov. Keiichi Inamine (standing) addresses a meeting on Okinawa affairs at the Diet building in Tokyo on Jan. 25. The central and Okinawa prefectural governments agreed on a draft bill for a new law covering Okinawa development measures for the next decade aimed at attracting financial and information technology firms to the region.
