Aeon offers computerized beef information to consumers
TOKYO, Japan - An official of retailer Aeon Co. explains Feb. 21 how a new computer system at his supermarket in Yamato, Kanagawa Prefecture, works to provide consumers with information on beef sold at the outlet, including the results of mad cow disease tests. Aeon, formerly named Jusco Co., had so far only provided information such as the origin of beef, the breed of cow, and the results of ministry tests for mad cow disease on paper.
