Onishi says his group was barred because Suzuki was angry
TOKYO, Japan - Kensuke Onishi, overall supervisor of nongovernmental organization Peace Winds Japan and head of Japan Platform, is summoned March 4 as an unsworn witness to the upper house Budget Committee session. He said the two groups were initially barred from attending an Afghan aid conference held in Tokyo in January as House of Representatives member Muneo Suzuki was angry over a newspaper article in which Onishi said he did not trust the authorities.
