Tanaka raps Koizumi for keeping bureaucrat Nogami in office
TOKYO, Japan - Former Foreign Minister Makiko Tanaka, after a House of Representatives session on March 6, criticizes Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi for retaining Yoshiji Nogami within the Foreign Ministry. Koizumi dismissed Tanaka and former Vice Foreign Minister Nogami over their conflict over the ministry's decision to bar two Japanese aid groups from an Afghan aid conference in Tokyo.
