5 foreigners, 2 Japanese nabbed over fake credit cards

TOKYO, Japan - Three Malaysians, two Chinese and two Japanese have been arrested on suspicion of producing and using counterfeit credit cards in Tokyo and Shizuoka prefectures. An officer at Tokyo's Ikebukuro Police Station sits by an array of fake credit cards and equipment the suspects used in making the cards during a media briefing March 8.

      NAGOYA, Japan - Pirated DVDs and computer equipment on display at the Konan police station in Aichi Prefecture on April 22. Police say 300 pirated DVDs had been confiscated from two Brazilians in Nagano Prefecture who allegedly made DVD copies of Disney TV programs for sale in Japan. The suspects, Isawa Hevio Yukishigue and Alves Valter Teles, allegedly have netted 250 million yen since March 2000, selling pirated DVDs on the Internet and through Brazilian stores in Japan.
