5 die in sewage dredging work, gas poisoning suspected
NAGOYA, Japan - Policemen investigate a manhole leading to a swage drain in Handa, Aichi Prefecture, on March 11, where five workers died apparently from gas poisoning while dredging it. A high concentration of hydrogen sulfide, a toxic substance, was detected in the drain.
