Einstein's letter to Roosevelt fetched $1.9 mil.

NEW YORK, United States - Albert Einstein's famous letter (photo) dated Aug. 2, 1939, to then U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, in which Einstein wrote about the potential of a chain reaction using uranium for the ''construction of extremely powerful bombs,'' is sold for a record price of $1.9 million at Christie's auction in New York on March 27.
