Booth to replace Fields as Mazda president

HIROSHIMA, Japan - Mazda Motor Corp. decided April 19 to appoint Lewis Booth (file photo) as president to succeed Mark Fields, the current chief. Booth was sent to Mazda on March 1, 2002 as adviser from Ford Motor Co. of the United States, the biggest shareholder in the Japanese automaker with a 33.3% stake.
