U.S. pop singer Britney Spears given 'Barbie Award'
TOKYO, Japan - U.S. pop singer Britney Spears (C) smiles at a ceremony in Tokyo's Minato Ward on April 21 where she received this year's ''Barbie Award.'' The award, created by U.S. toy maker Mattle Inc. and Japan's toy maker Bandai Co. in 2001, is awarded to a woman who ''realizes her dream'' like the dress-up doll Barbie.
