Plight of Israeli, Palestinian youth translated in novel
KOFU, Japan - Noriko Higuchi, a 52-year-old owner of a cafe in Yamanakako, Yamanashi Prefecture, holds her translation of an Israeli novel depicting a budding friendship between two teenagers, an Israeli and a Palestinian, at her shop May 7. The novel by Daniella Carm, the Hebrew title of which means ''Friends in Room 6,'' tells of a story of a wounded Palestinian boy whose brother had been killed by Israeli soldiers.
