Koizumi hopes to get treaty talks with Russia moving
CALGARY, Canada - Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi speaks to journalists aboard a plane en route to Canada for the Group of Eight (G-8) summit meeting in the mountain retreat of Kananaski. Koizumi said he hopes to visit Russia at the earliest opportunity and get Japan's stalled peace-treaty negotiations with Russia moving again.
