Salamander found near Kamo River
KYOTO, Japan - A giant salamander was found in a riverbed near the Kamo River in Kyoto on July 11. The 1-meter-long salamander, designated as a special natural treasure, may have been brought to the location from the upper stream due to river swelling caused by a typhoon that hit the Japanese archipelago over the past days.
