Matoyama waves to fans after being named all-star MVP
MATSUYAMA, Japan - Tetsuya Matoyama of the Kintetsu Buffaloes acknowledges the cheers of the fans at Botchan Stadium in Ehime Prefecture after being named the most valuable player of the second game of the Japanese professional baseball all-star series. The veteran catcher went 2-for-3 with a run batted in as the Pacific League all-stars won 4-2 over the Central League.
