(1)Japanese NGO to rebuild schools in Afghanistan
OSAKA, Japan - A school building heavily damaged during the U.S.-led antiterrorist attack in Afghanistan stands in Bamian, northwest of Kabul in a photo taken in March and released by Save the Children Japan (SCJ), a Japanese nongovernmental organization. The Osaka-based SCJ said Aug. 1 it has begun rebuilding schools and training teachers in Afghanistan. (Kyodo)
