Toyota to launch 'G-Book' info network service

TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows the terminal of a new membership-based service which Toyota Motor Corp. will launch in fall 2002. The service will enable drivers to receive a wide rage of interactive information services via wireless communication terminals in their vehicles. Toyota said Aug. 28 that the G-Book service will be available at a fixed monthly fee that allows use of an on-board terminal to receive about 30 different standard service items.
