Defense Agency releases photo of suspicious ship

TOKYO, Japan - The Defense Agency released on Sept. 5 a photo taken by a Maritime Self-Defense Force P-3C patrol aircraft of a suspicious ship spotted off the Noto Peninsula in the Sea of Japan on Sept. 4. According to the agency, a North Korean national flag was painted on the ship's funnel and the ship's name was written on the stern in Korean hangul characters. (Kyodo)
