Nikkei logs another fresh 19-yr low in morning

TOKYO, Japan - A stock price board at a brokerage house in Tokyo's Yurakucho district shows the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average on the Tokyo Stock Exchange briefly plunging below 8,200 during the morning session on Oct. 10. The benchmark index fell 265.67 points, or 3.11%, to end the morning at 8,273.67, the lowest level since March 1983. (Kyodo)
