Long-shot Hishi Miracle edges pack at Kikka-sho
KYOTO, Japan - Tenth-pick Hishi Miracle (2) storms down the final stretch to edge Fast Tateyama (7) by a nose to claim his first Grade One victory in a wild Kikka-sho race at Kyoto Racecourse on Oct. 20. The race began with a bizarre accident when odds-on favorite No Reason stumbled at the start and threw jockey Yutaka Take on to the turf in driving rain. (Kyodo)
