Hitachi group returns to black in fiscal 1st half

TOKYO, Japan - Hitachi Ltd. Vice President Yoshiki Yagi (R) speaks at a news conference in Tokyo on Oct. 31. The company said its group returned to the black in the April-September first half of fiscal 2002 with a net profit of 12.85 billion yen. (Kyodo)
