Firm selling thalidomide ordered to recall
KOBE, Japan - Photo taken Nov. 5 shows a factory run by Maruni Seiyu, an Osaka-based pharmaceutical firm, which was found to have sold thalidomide, a drug still used in some cancer treatment despite a 1962 ban, without authorization. The Hyogo prefectural government ordered the company to recall the product. (Kyodo)
