SAPPORO, Japan - David Aldwinckle (R), a 37-year-old U.S.-born resident of Hokkaido who is a naturalized Japanese citizen, walks into the Sapporo District Court on Nov. 11, suing the operator of a bathhouse in Otaru, Hokkaido for a total of 6 million yen in compensation to him and two other foreigners for refusing them admission because of its policy of rejecting foreign customers.
