Nikkei hits new 19-yr low

TOKYO, Japan - A stock price board at a brokerage in Tokyo's Nihonbashi district shows the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average of shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange falling to a new 19-year closing low of 8,438.52. The market ignored the release of data the same day showing the Japanese economy kept growing from the beginning of this year. (Kyodo)
