Japan to appoint Toshiyuki Takano as ambassador to S. Korea
TOKYO, Japan - Japan plans to appoint Toshiyuki Takano (file photo), deputy foreign minister for political affairs, as ambassador to South Korea, government sources said Nov. 13. Takano, 58, is expected to succeed the current ambassador to South Korea, Terusuke Terada, around mid-December, after the current Diet session is over. (Kyodo)
