Unitika, YKK jointly devise biodegradable velcro strap

TOKYO, Japan - Textile manufacturer Unitika Ltd. and fastener producer YKK Corp. said Dec. 4 they have developed a velcro strap (photo) that dissolves in the ground. The biodegradable velcro strap is the first ever developed and will be put on the market in January, the two companies said. (Kyodo)
