Armitage says U.S. hopes to find solution for Soga's husband
TOKYO, Japan - U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage outside the prime minister's office in Tokyo on Dec. 9 after meeting Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuo Fukuda there. He reportedly told Fukuda the United States hopes to find a solution in the case of Charles Jenkins, the American husband in North Korea of Hitomi Soga. Jenkins faces charges of desertion from the U.S. Army if he comes to Japan. (Kyodo)
