Yoshii strikes deal with Orix
KOBE, Japan - Masato Yoshii, who was released by the Montreal Expos last month after five seasons in the major leagues, speak to reporters in Tokyo on Jan. 7 about his one-year contract with the Orix BlueWave. Yoshii became the second former major leaguer to join the Pacific League club next season following a recent deal with pitcher Makoto ''Mac'' Suzuki. (MLB)(Kyodo)
