Dugong spotted in Pacific off Nago
TOKYO, Japan - An adult dugong was spotted swimming southward in the Pacific Ocean 1 kilometer off Nago, northern Okinawa Prefecture, on Jan. 31, the Environment Ministry said Feb. 7. This is the third dugong confirmed in waters off Okinawa by the ministry since it started surveying the area in February 2002. Photo was provided by the ministry. (Kyodo)
